History in the making: Digital ad-spend to overtake TV for the first time

In an exciting boost for digital advertising, Magna’s latest spend forecast predicts that 2017 will see the global digital advertising spend overtake TV for the first time.

As mobile, video and online advertising continue to rise in popularity, the television ad spend is barely growing (just 0.4% last year) and forecasts predict that digital is soon to emerge as the number 1 media category for advertising.

Receiving special recognition in the report, the UK is also expected to become Europe’s “stand out ad-market” thanks to our rapid adoption of Internet advertising and growing spend on mobile platforms.

Here at KMS Media, we're passionate advocates of digital and mobile advertising, here's just a few reasons why:

1. More Flexibility
When it comes to digital, flexibility is it's number one selling point. As a 'turn on, turn off' platform we can pause your campaign at any given time and pick it up again at your request. We can also optimise your activity in real time so if one strategy isn't performing as strongly as we'd like, we can shift spend at the push of a button to minimize wastage and demand your budget works that little bit harder.

2. Visible Results
Whether it's the number of views your adverts have received or the time slot in which your campaign performed the best, we can provide our clients with accurate and visible results. These results can be taken forward and layered into all future digital campaigns to ensure we build up an informed, bespoke audience pool so we can target the right audiences, using the right formats, at the right time.

3. Instant Access
Digital and Social Media platforms work brilliantly for our clients who are looking to push ticket sales as formats like Media iQ, Facebook and Instagram allow audiences to click directly through to your chosen webpage. The response is instant!
